CHECK IT
Second Camera, Field Audio
CHECK IT follows members of the first and only documented all-queer street gang. Formed by Black gay and transgender youth, the group originally banded together to protect themselves from brutal harassment and violence in impoverished neighborhoods of Washington, D.C. At its heart, CHECK IT explores the undying friendship that exists between these kids – an unbreakable bond that is tested every day as they fight to stand up for who they are and try to break the cycle of street violence by pursuing an unexpected passion for fashion and design.
